Hello everyone! I just realized it's been awhile....again.....since i have posted anything. Guess what? As usual I am pausing for a moment to write before heading out to an early morning performance. Dexter Roberts, American Idol contestant, is opening for us! HA! Ha! I am sure that's not how he sees it at all. Honestly enough, it isn't how I see it either, but it does sound good, right? It is an event to raise money for cancer research. I know that I am not alone n saying that I have had several family members and friends touched by cancer. I want to see it eradicated forever in all it's nasty forms. My sister-in-law just lost her dad yesterday morning to cancer. I lost 3 of 4 grandparents to cancer and my mother too. I am sure you have people you loved and lost to it as well. It is one thing that is truly an equal opportunity disease. It takes all ages and all races and all sizes of people. It has a voracious appetite. In so many ways, it's a good analogy for sin. Sin is equally determined to kill or destroy people of all ages and races. Rich or poor, doesn't matter. Cancer can't be bought off, and neither can sin. It's effects are terrible and while cancer often leads to earthly death here, sin leads to an eternal death of the soul. Everlasting torment in hell, that you can't escape. While I have lost many to cancer here, I know I will see them again in Heaven where no sickness can touch them ever again. Losing them to sin, however, means eternal separation from them, and eternal damnation for them. I don't think any of is really grasp the gravity of that. If we did, we would be as tireless in our efforts to prevent death from sin as we are to preventing death by cancer, heart disease, or stroke. Too often, I think we believe that a merciful God will relent in the end and let everyone into heaven anyway. He loves us all, so how could He love us so much and let us go to hell? He is love, but is also just. Sin is something He cannot tolerate in any form. No matter how much He loves you, He cannot let the stain of sin into His presence. Just like chemo erases cancer, the blood of Jesus erases sin. Please, if you don't know Him, ask the the great physician to treat your sin problem today. It ensures everlasting life in Heaven with Him. Got to run, so I wish you a wonderful day and God bless.
